A Busy Day in Paradise

Friday was a busy day in Fernandina. Our municipal airport was filled with “big iron,” and downtown was hopping. Everyone has converged on our small island for the Concourse d’Elegance, an annual extravaganza of classic and luxury automobiles.

I signed books at Books Plus from 2 to 4 pm, and business was lively. Charlotte and her mother dropped by – Charlotte is a black Lab that Ace and I met at the dog park the other day. Charlotte sniffed books while Bonnie and I chatted. She was kind enough to buy a copy of Fernandina’s Finest Easter, and I advised her to read the parts about the chocolate Lab to Charlotte.

Despite all of that, I had time to write a few syllables of The Treasure of Fernandina, the next adventure in the Wilson Mystery Series. I’ll keep you posted on its progress.
